About the Breeder:
We have been breeding basset hounds for over 20 years. As a hobby breeder, Silvan Basset Hounds aims to produce healthy, happy, people-loving dogs which conform as closely as possible to the breed standard.We encourage others to be a part of their National breed club so that they may continue to learn from others about the wonderful world of Basset Hounds. We breed primarily for the show ring and companionship. We occasionally have puppies and/or young adults for sale as show prospects and pets. We keep our older dogs (most of which are retired champions) as companions.We have been and are willing to help newcomers get a start in the show ring. We follow closely the show careers of dogs we have placed as well as follow up on those we have placed as companions.
