About the Breeder:
Keygolde Schnauzers is a small, home-based kennel that specializes in Standard Schnauzers although we have owned all three sizes of schnauzers over the past 30 years and will always have a Mini-Schnauzer in the household to keep the big dogs in line. Keygolde's #1 Dog is Senate (Multi Champion Cortaillod Kenai, Versatility Dog 1). Senate was a nationally ranked Standard Schnauzer who was the first standard schnauzer in 8 years to win the Working Group in California. With working titles in Rally Obedience, Obedience and Herding, Senate earned a Versatility Dog certificate in 2006. We refer to him as the show dog who doesn't mind getting his nails dirty. We are most proud that he sired the So-Cal Std. Schnauzer Club's Obedience Dog of the Year in 2005 (Champagne Pepper vd Keygolde). 'Pepper' has also won High in Trial awards at the Nor-Cal Std Schnauzer Club Specialty in 2006 and 2007 Our top bitch, 'Gena' (Multi Champion Cortaillod Umbria, JHD, PT, CGC), produced a healthy and promising litter of 10 puppies in September of 2004. Four of these puppies have obtained their Conformation Titles and all 4 have gone on to earn performance titles. Gena earned Brood Bitch recognition at the 2006 Nor-Cal Regional Specialty and as a 'Leading Producer' for our breed. She has been retired a much loved family dog who visits at Keygolde quite often. Gena's daughter, Irene, will continue the Keygolde genes into the next generation; as will her sister, Roxie. Brothers, Tank and Boo, are maturing into 'Specials' while they work at their performance sports. It is important at Keygolde Schnauzers that our breeding stock have titles at both ends of their names.
