About the Breeder:
I started breeding with Vizslas in 1977 and bred a Hall of Fame dog, Dual Ch. FK's Rivendell Reaghan, CDX before switching to Rhodesian Ridgebacks in 1987 (I no longer breed Vizslas). My first Ridgeback took a group 4 owner handled, hooking me on the breed. My second Ridgeback was a South African import, Ch. Cartouche Nikela, she produced a South African Champion SA Ch Assegai Kimani Voyager, and a U.S. National Specialty Award of Merit winner Dual Ch. Assegai Heart's Afire, CD - Heart's Afire also has an ASFA Field Championship and several other titles I haven't kept track of... My specialty is bringing in Foreign lines & melding them with American breeding. My Australian import Zawadi Solitaire Gem, JC hasproduced one Champion so far with others pointed some that are just starting in the show ring. What I am proudest of however are the many beloved pets I have produced, and the owners who are so happy with their Assegai Ridgebacks that they have come to me for anothercRidgeback to give their first dog a playmate or a whole next generation of family pets. My dogs are family members first and can be found on the bed during the winter and sunning themselves on our pontoon boat on Lake Sacandaga as soon as it's warm enough for boating.
