About the Breeder:
Dominos just moved from Plano, Tx to northern calif. in Feb.2000. I take serious what I do with my little dogs, I try to enrich their lives and if neccessary find the best pet homes. I was taken in by a puppy mill in Tx and will always worry about those animals because I know that this kennel(PCPups in Franklin, Tx registers CKC(not canadian).They misrepresented themselves to me as a very small kennel, they said 6 total, but I eventually found their web sight and counted more than 15 plus puppies.They had litters coming every month. I also found out that they had bought up at least 40 dogs from local breeders of piebalds that did not show, even these people wont sell to them anymore. They then tried to buy from a lovely small kennel in Canada and through luck this lady and I talked about a future show. They told her they had two dogs and would be willing to show her dog. They recieved a show quality male wire from the kennel that refered them to me and they have not taken a step to show him.They got him months ago and on their web page, their dogs are unkemp. I can only say that in the past I had refraned from co-owning a handful of dogs and feel now that this is a mistake-if you dont co-own you can say nothing to protect your interest in a dog after it is out of your hands. A contract is the next best thing but you have to inforce it and that will take small claims court and travel. My word to reputable breeders is that you should co-own and you should charge good money, because the puppy mills will and do for half the quality. Take referance's and call other breeders before you let your dogs go to people you dont know. Check to see if the show breeder your selling to will sell to anyone out there that has the money because that can be as bad.I pray that my little dogs eventually see a good,loving home where they are not bred to death, but are loved by their own human for who they are not what they can produce for some course crude person. Basically I threw pearls before swine. This is not a mistake I will make again so easiely. I now have the first 3 wire piebald female champions in Canada-all three coats. I have the first piebald champion to achieve the title of ROM(register of merit). I have and do work with people who want to show a good dachshund and pride myself on my temperaments. I also make sure you actually get a true show dog. I cant tell you why I work with some people but not with others, it really doesnt have alot to do with the amount of money a person has, although it does help to have some to enter and attend at least one show weekend a month and all the trappings needed to groom your dog. check out my web site.
