About the Breeder:
At ASHWOOD KEESHONDEN, we purchased our first Kees in 1984 and I'v been in love with the Keeshond breed ever since. For me they are the only dog, but they would not be the dog for everyone. They are a challenge, mischievous, and full of love, with the intellegence of about a five year old. They love to be with you and go where you go, but if you don't want a dog underfoot or to take too much of your time, then you need to look for another breed. We try to always produce healthy happy puppies that will be beautiful, sound in body and mind. Our quality has been proven by having produced over 33 Champions. In compliance with the Keeshond Club of America Code of Ethics all of our Dams & Sires are health tested and certified. At Ashwood we like to be an encouragement to the person just starting with their first show dog as well as making sure that special pet gets off to the right start. Our goal is that our puppies have a home for life and we do everything to make sure the right puppy is placed with the right family. Our puppies are raised in our home, temperment tested at seven weeks and confirmation evaluated at eight weeks. We are always as close as our phone or e-mail to answer any questions or problems that might come up as you and your new puppy adjust to one another. Our dogs have not only excelled in the conformation ring but in obedience and agility and we always encourage people to enjoy these sports with their companion.
